Hi there. I turn drawings, quantities, and data into numbers a project can act on.

Quantity Surveying
Cost Control
Every month a quantity surveyor rebuilds the same commercial report by hand. Because it looks backward, problems surface in the final account, too late to act. This project automates that report and adds a forecast-margin layer that recalculates the outturn every month, turning cost control into an early-warning system.
Managerial Accounting
Budgeting / Variances
A two-year financial model for a fictional firm, built from a blank workbook. It demonstrates full-cycle budgeting and planning: a master budget, monthly forecasts, and detailed variance analysis that flags where actuals drift from plan; the same cost-control discipline applied to a company's P&L, underpinned by GAAP-compliant statements built from the ground up.
Data Engineering
Backtesting Engine
A Django application for building and validating systematic strategies against historical time-series data. It runs the full pipeline: ingesting data, computing indicators, and executing configurable, reproducible backtests with clear performance metrics. Built to show clean data-engineering practice: structured pipelines, reproducible results, and readable, maintainable Python.

Decisions with Data
I'm a Civil Engineer working in quantity surveying, cost control, and project controls. I spent the early years of my career on construction projects in Türkiye and Qatar --quantity surveying, BoQ preparation, progress payments, and cost control-- and have since sharpened that work with hands-on data skills: Python, SQL, and dashboards that turn cost and progress data into something a project can act on.
It all comes down to the same craft: turning measurements, drawings, and data into numbers people can act on. Whether that's a quantity survey feeding a project budget, or a model that forecasts where a project's final cost is heading. I care about getting the inputs right and the conclusions honest.
Outside work, I'm into photography, exploring new cuisines, social events, and sports. Always learning, always looking for the next problem to take apart.
